Our Commitment
Modern slavery, in all its forms, is a violation of fundamental human rights. It includes slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking. MSL has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and is committed to acting ethically, with integrity, and in full compliance with laws and regulations to prevent modern slavery in all areas of our business.
Our Policies: To combat modern slavery and human trafficking, we have implemented the following policies and procedures:
- MSL’s Guide to Employment and Ethics: Our guide ensures all employees and partners understand the importance of treating people fairly and ethically.
- Supplier Standards: We require all suppliers to adhere to ethical labour practices and to comply with laws against forced labour, child labour, and other forms of exploitation.
- Whistleblowing Policy: We provide a secure and confidential mechanism for employees and partners to report any concerns related to modern slavery or unethical practices.
Due Diligence in Our Supply Chains: We evaluate and monitor our supply chains to minimise risks of modern slavery. Our processes include:
- Conducting risk assessments to identify areas where modern slavery may occur.
- Assessment of high-risk suppliers.
- Requiring key suppliers to provide evidence of their compliance with anti-slavery legislation.
Training and Awareness: To strengthen our commitment, we provide training to all employees, particularly those involved in recruitment and supply chain management. This training ensures that our team is aware of the risks, signs, and responsibilities related to modern slavery and human trafficking.
Accountability and Review: This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. It outlines the steps MSL has taken during the financial year March 2024 to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not present in our operations or supply chains.
This statement will be reviewed annually and approved by the Managing Director.
